College Affordability Act This bill reauthorizes and revises the Higher Education Act of 1965, including to revise federal student financial aid programs, consolidate federal student loans and expand loan forgiveness, increase college access and success for certain students, and revise accountability measures. Green Jobs and Opportunity Act This bill requires the Department of Labor to address current and future workforce shortages within the clean energy technology sector. P3 Act Partnerships for Progress and Prosperity Act This bill requires the Department of Education (ED) to award grants to local educational agencies (LEAs) and institutions of higher education to improve students' education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). After the medal has been awarded, it shall be given to the Central Intelligence Agency Museum. Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency relating to "Community Reinvestment Act Regulations". This resolution supports the designation of ALS Awareness Month and commends efforts to improve the quality and length of life for patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). I believe that a quality education prepares students for future careers in our global economy, and allows students to grow and thrive in their communities. The bill increases funding through FY2023 for the Impact Aid Construction program under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. 4674, the College Affordability Act, which would reauthorize the Higher Education Act of 1965 to lower the cost of college, to hold colleges accountable for students' success, and to give a new generation of students the opportunity to graduate on-time and transition to successful careers. The Department of Education must establish a clearinghouse to disseminate information to assist schools in initiating, developing, and financing energy efficiency projects, distributed generation projects, and energy retrofitting projects. This bill defines a full-time health care practitioner for the purpose of participation in the student loan repayment plan for public service employees. The bill also requires the Government Accountability Office to study and report on the effects of marijuana legalization on traffic safety. Specifically, such a media purveyor is eligible to receive a paycheck protection loan if (1) the individual physical location that applies for the loan does not exceed Small Business Administration size standards (up to 1,000 employees for newspaper publishers and $41.5 million in gross receipts for radio and television broadcasters); and (2) the proceeds of the loan are used to support the continued provision of local news, information, content, or emergency information. Specifically, the bill requires flight attendants, pilots, aircraft maintenance technicians, airport first responders, and emergency response teams to receive annual training on how to respond to incidents involving smoke or fumes on board commercial aircraft; the FAA to develop a standardized form for reporting incidents involving smoke or fumes; the FAA to conduct an investigation after a report is submitted about incidents of smoke or fumes; and commercial air carriers to install and operate onboard carbon monoxide detectors. Specifically, the government must notify interested parties of an animal's seizure within 30 days (currently, 60 days). Existing foreign money prohibitions are expanded to prohibit disbursements for paid internet or digital communications. NICS Denial Notification Act of 2019 This bill requires the Department of Justice to notify state and local law enforcement authorities following a firearms-related background check that results in a denial. (Sec. Specifically, a person who conspires to commit certain civil rights offenses (e.g., a hate crime act) is subject to criminal penalties. Protect Drinking Water from PFAS Act of 2019. United States-Israel Cooperation Enhancement and Regional Security Act. To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 13308 Midland Road in Poway, California, as the "Ray Chavez Post Office Building". DHS may not use information from applications to adjust status under this bill for immigration enforcement purposes. The bill prohibits an individual from being denied access to a shared facility, including a restroom, a locker room, and a dressing room, that is in accordance with the individual's gender identity. This resolution recognizes the contributions and sacrifices made by Sikh Americans and expresses respect for all Sikhs who practice their faith. This requirement applies to medications that are (1) approved by the Food and Drug Administration; (2) medically necessary for the cancer treatment; and (3) clinically appropriate in terms of type, frequency, extent site, and duration.To comply with this requirement, health plans may not, with respect to anticancer medications (1) change or replace benefits to increase out-of-pocket costs, (2) reclassify benefits to increase costs, or (3) apply more restrictive limitations to orally administered medications than to intravenously administered or injected medications. Recognizing Achievement in Classified School Employees Act This bill directs the Department of Education (ED) to grant Recognizing Inspiring School Employees awards to classified school employees, within certain occupational specialties, who provide exemplary service to students in prekindergarten through high school. 5) The bill limits the issuance of such coins to the one-year period beginning on January 1, 2021. The bill prescribes civil penalties for knowing violations of such prohibition.
