I don't enjoy horror, and the sci-fi I enjoy is more Douglas Adams/Terry Pratchett, which none of these were even close to. Dead Letters. It's still accurate to its description, but not what I wanted from it. This book is wine-soaked yet lucid, comforting and frightening, asking the big questions about intimacy and loyalty. Books That Made Me Forget I Was Reading A Book. This does, however, make for an overall interesting read.
