I had the same problem.
Only songs played in the desktop app are saved in the recently played songs. I open Spotify and see songs, radios and playlists that I have not played.

If you want to delete your song history, simply tap on "Clear" in the top-right while you're browsing through your history. Thanks mate, awesome support. And since then it works perfect, but i do always close the Music App in the Artist Section with no song in the "now playing" status.
